Ten Years of Backyard Parties for a Cause
Every year, Havertown House Hop has rallied our community around a different cause. We don’t break out totals by charity — this night has always been about the collective effort and shared impact.
Year 3
Growing the route
More hosts, more stops, more friends. By year three, the House Hop became a circled date on the neighborhood calendar.
Year 5
Doubling down on giving
We expanded our fundraising, added raffles and auction items, and significantly increased the total we could donate.
Year 8
New charities, same mission
Each year we highlight a different cause, keeping the event fresh while staying rooted in community generosity.

A decade milestone
Ten years of sun-soaked backyards, music, and meaningful giving — with an all-time total we’re incredibly proud of.

About the Event
What Is Havertown House Hop?
Once a year, a group of Havertown neighbors opens their homes for a “house hop” — a summer night where everyone follows a loose route, stops in at different backyards, and donates along the way.
How it works
- Neighbors volunteer to host a stop on the route.
- Friends and family grab the map and house-hop together.
- Donations are collected online or in person for that year’s charity.
- At the end of the night, we tally everything and celebrate the impact.
The vibe
- Laid-back, summer-evening energy.
- Backyard music, lights, and plenty of laughs.
- Friends bringing friends — and making new ones along the way.
- A reminder that doing good can feel really, really fun.
