The first hop
It started as a simple idea: one route, a few houses, and a desire to turn a fun summer night into something bigger.
Havertown House Hop brings neighbors, friends, and family together for one night of summertime fun — all while raising money for causes that matter.
Every year, Havertown House Hop has rallied our community around a different cause. We don’t break out totals by charity — this night has always been about the collective effort and shared impact.
It started as a simple idea: one route, a few houses, and a desire to turn a fun summer night into something bigger.
More hosts, more stops, more friends. By year three, the House Hop became a circled date on the neighborhood calendar.
We expanded our fundraising, added raffles and auction items, and significantly increased the total we could donate.
Each year we highlight a different cause, keeping the event fresh while staying rooted in community generosity.
Ten years of sun-soaked backyards, music, and meaningful giving — with an all-time total we’re incredibly proud of.
Note: The total shown above represents combined giving across all ten years and all charities. We intentionally keep individual charity totals private and focus on the collective impact.
Over the years, Havertown House Hop has helped support a mix of local and national organizations, from community groups and health-focused foundations to causes close to our friends and families.
Here’s a sample of the organizations that have received support from Havertown House Hop:
We’re grateful for the work these organizations do every day — and humbled that our summer tradition can play a small part in supporting them.
Why don’t we list amounts per charity?
From day one, House Hop has been about community and connection first. We celebrate the overall impact we create together and keep individual charity totals private out of respect for the organizations and the families connected to them.
If you’d like to learn more about a specific charity we’ve supported in a given year, feel free to reach out directly — we’re always happy to share how to get involved.
Once a year, a group of Havertown neighbors opens their homes for a “house hop” — a summer night where everyone follows a loose route, stops in at different backyards, and donates along the way.
